Introduction

As we all know that the global energy crisis is a big bottleneck to a sustainable economy. The efficiency of energy utilization is still quite low, where more than 50% energy is rejected into the environment in the form of heat. Therefore how to recycle the waste heat and enhance the efficiency of energy harvesting is one of the most important issues nowadays. On the other hand, in modern electronic devices with increasing the density of integration, it becomes more important to dissipate and manage heat, which has been recognized to be a key issue in the application of nanoscale thermal transport. Our research is focused on the study of quantum thermal transport in condensed matter physics, with particular emphasis in phonon and magnon Hall effect, phonon angular momentum and applications in magnetic systems, thermal rectification and interfacial thermal transport. Our research is not only to deepen understanding of fundamental physics in thermal transport and energy science, but also to encourage applications in technological design and engineering in energy harvesting and information technology.
